A bill that could have led to casinos at the eight racetracks in Kentucky appears to be a dead issue after House leaders on Wednesday prevented the bill from getting to the House Floor. The bill was sent to the House Appropriations and Revenue Committee, where many bills go late in the session to die.
The House had to act on the bill by Wednesday, either sending it to the floor for a possible vote or sending it to the committee.
